Families helped by this program are all very poor and receive interim financial assistance. These families are on a priority list and are hired at one of our Spark of Hope network facilities once we have determined the extent of assistance needed. We are trying to teach the families "how to fish rather than just giving them the fish." Our aim is to provide short term assistance allowing the families to become independent.
